TakeCHARGE; 5 Steps to Safer Health Care
The TakeCHARGE Campaign is an ambitious annual public awareness campaign that has significant potential to improve patient safety by encouraging people to become informed and active participants in their healthcare team, by taking 5 Steps to Safer Healthcare!
The TakeCHARGE Campaign kicks-off with Patient Safety Awareness Week, the second week of March each year and concludes on International Patient Safety Day on September 17th. Each month from April through August, the campaign focused on one of the five steps and reaches a wide audience.
Long after the campaign ends, Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy will continue promoting TakeCHARGE the 5 Steps to Safer Health Care all year with more educational materials, presentations, and programs, and will launch a fresh online blitz each March. We hope you will continue to practice the 5 Steps too, and encourage your family friends, neighbors, faith community and business associates to do the same.
At the end of the "official" campaign, TakeCHARGE will continue with 5 Steps for Safer Health Care through educational material, presentations, and programs. We hope you will continue too.
