COMING SOON; THE TAKE CHARGE CAMPAIGN!

5 STEPS TO PATIENT EMPOWERMENT!

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK THE PLEDGE!

The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated September 17th 2019 as the first World Patient Safety Day.  The primary goal of this program is to make health care safer and to reduce the risk of preventable harm to a patient while receiving health care services.

Currently, the WHO reports that 1 in 4 patients are harmed while receiving primary and ambulatory healthcare resulting in 142 million adverse events and 2.6 million deaths world wide. In the US, medication & medical errors cost an estimated 42 billion annually.

For more than 20 years, Pulse Center for Patient Safety, Education and Advocacy has been promoting initiatives to improve patient safety on Long Island and across the US through patient and family involvement.

For more information contact Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy at (516) 579-4711.

Whether you are involved in a business, organization, community or support groups you will be helping members of the public to avoid medical error by being involved in patient safety initiatives. Companies will help the bottom line by working to reduce medical error-related employee expenses and absences .
