2002 Patient Safety Awareness Week
In 2002 to celebrate Patient Safety Awareness Week, runners ran a full marathon from the Nassau University Medical Center, East Meadow, NY to the Northport VA Medical Center, Long Island, a full 26.2 miles.
The patient safety message was delivered along the way.
