The Current Landscape of Patient Safety: Where We’ve Been, Where We’re Going will be packed with information and dynamic discussions from expert presenters.

Since the 1999 release of the Institute of Medicine’s report, To Err is Human: Building a Safer Health System, safe medical care has been spotlighted as a priority in the nation’s healthcare systems. Even before that, Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy worked to improve patient outcomes.

We do this by:

  • Encouraging people to be better prepared as patients and advocates
  • Understanding how medical errors happen and help avoid them
  • Understanding how patient and family engagement can help prevent unplanned outcomes of care.

Join us as we explore the potential of the patient safety movement in the years to come and how to navigate the future in our roles as patients and advocates.
